SAT Inference Questions: Basic Strategies and Common Pitfalls
I. Introduction to Inference Questions
As with Command of Evidence Questions, the key to mastering SAT Inference Questions is applying the rules of logic. While Command of Evidence Questions require you to support or weaken a claim, Inference Questions ask you to draw scientifically or logically valid conclusions based on the information provided in a passage.
These questions appear after Command of Evidence Questions and before Punctuation and Grammar Questions. They are always worded exactly as follows: "Which choice most logically completes the text?"
