Mastering LO:S Lit Questions on the Digital SAT
Welcome to Part 3 of Walker Prep’s series on Digital SAT Command of Evidence questions! In this article, we’ll focus on Logical Operations: Support (LO:S) questions that involve literature. We call these LO:S Lit questions.
This type of Command of Evidence question usually asks you to illustrate a claim made about a work of fiction or poetry. Though they may appear to be a distinct question type at first glance, they are fundamentally the same as the varieties of LO:S (and LO:W) questions discussed in Part 1 and Part 2 of this series.
What are LO:S Lit Questions and How to Identify Them?
LO:S Lit questions are a subtype of Command of Evidence question. (The “Lit” is short for “literature.”) These questions require you to select a quotation from a literary work — such as a novel, short story, poem, or play — that best “illustrates” (i.e., supports) a specific claim about that work.
