While researching a topic, a student has taken the following notes:

  • Public libraries offer two types of materials: physical items and digital resources.

  • Digital resources include e-books, audiobooks, and streaming media.

  • Many patrons access library resources exclusively through digital platforms.

  • Digital platforms may become inaccessible during system outages or when patrons lack internet connectivity.

  • Physical materials remain available for checkout regardless of technological issues.

The student wants to explain a disadvantage of relying on digital library resources. Which choice most effectively uses relevant information from the notes to accomplish this goal?

A. Many library patrons choose to access materials exclusively through digital platforms, which include e-books and streaming media.

B. Digital platforms may become inaccessible during system outages or when patrons lack internet access, making them less reliable than physical materials that remain available regardless of technological issues.

C. Digital library resources require internet connectivity to access, whereas physical materials can be checked out directly from the library building.

D. Physical materials remain available for checkout at all times because they don't depend on technological systems.
